The Construction Company and Dance Projects, Inc. present Beth Soll & Company in a concert of four premieres by Beth Soll and new music by Carolyn Lord. Performances will take place on Friday and Saturday, March 2nd and 3rd at 8 p.m. at the Construction Company, 10 E. 18th Street in New York City, just north and east of Union Square. Admission is $15. Reservations: 212-927-0476 or bethsbron@gmail.com. Scrimmage, inspired by Soll’s observation of students playing Frisbee on a sunlit lawn, features five dancers moving through complex, shifting sports patterns. Diagram is a duet for Victoria Dombroski and Lindsey Miller in which charted, stubbornly linear paths co-exist and contrast with the expressive movement of the dancers. In Covert Transformations Soll performs a dance of ambivalent sensuality to fragments of music from the cabaret, jazz, and classical traditions. In Tribute, Soll makes references to choreographic approaches and movement from the experiments of the 60s. Dancing with Beth Soll in this concert are Karesia Batan, Victoria Dombroski, Jennifer Mellor, Lindsey Miller, Jocelyn Ordiales, Erin Pellecchia, and Julia Sabangan. Carolyn Lord’s music will be performed by Veronica Burke and Catherine R. Burke. Lighting will be by YuChen (Nick) Hung. |

“. . . volatile, thrilling, both kinesthetically and spiritually and altogether magnificent. . .” “Soll . . . is unforgettable – as alert, quick, clear, and delicate as a lark.” |
